I saw some references to this error on the shiningrocksoftware forums. I have installed DirectX9 (11 was already install). I also attempted the registry change of the VideoInterface value to 0 as someone suggested. No luck.

I think that the GMA3000 does have the right requirements based on what I read but perhaps someone can someone look at my dxdiag text file or otherwise clue me in as to what might be wrong?

Thanks,

Burt

Yes, the GMA 3000 supports pixel and vertex shader 2.0, so it's probably not really a hardware issue.

Have you used the DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) to install the older components of DirectX9? Unpack the content into a separate folder and run dxsetup.exe. The DirectX Web Installer doesn't always work, but it's a good idea to re-boot your system after installing the above package and then run the Web Installer.

Also look for the newest drivers for your graphics chip.
Thanks I had tried that and tried it again after I read your post, but same error. For now I installed it on my work computer and I'll tinker with it some more this weekend.
