Almost universally when a game gets a new update to the file one of the mod/Gog team members makes a thread posting what exactly is new about it and what changed. Now I've been keeping up at shining rock software, so I know it's this update the developer has been working on for months, but it just seems odd that we got no update thread. I guess I'm just asking what gives?

Here's the info, although it's not yet confirmed by Judas.

Is this usually done in the game's thread or somewhere else?

At any rate, when I logged in to my GOG account, there is now a RED CIRCLE in the "My Account" box at the page with a number indicating how many of my games are "New and Updated". Very convenient, but I agree that there should be a thread to announce this as well.

I can confirm that this update was for the version 1.0.2 update that everyone has been waiting for :)

I notice that my game says it has been updated. Does this occur automatically? Or do I need to do something to enable the update?

The update announced on the page indicates either a new installer or a patch was made since the last time you checked that game in your library. You have to download and install the update yourself (either the patch or the whole installer)
