Hi Folks,

Just downloaded Banished and cant wait to play it. However, game can't start. It just goes to a black screen and a error msg pops in Windows up saying "A fatal error has occurred and the game cannot continue! A crash dump has been written to C:\Users\Username\Documents\Banished\\Save\Crash.dmp"

Any idea how to solve this?

Try renaming DX11 file so the game doesn't read it (or move it but don't delete!) and instead starts with DX9, seems to help some people. Rename 64-bit DLL file as well to force into 32-bit mode.

What Do I rename them?

Nothing specific, just something different (I usually write a _ before the file format like ._DLL) or move them to a different folder. Keep a back up so you don't need to reinstall in case you want the files later.

For the uninformed, where mayhap can I find the directx dll's and how to I recognize which witch is which?
