So I have this PC. It's quite old now, but it's all I have to work with :P
I know how to navigate the Nvidia Control Panel and have been fiddling with the setting in Banished for a bit. Problem is, I haven't been able to get a decent framerate out of the game and every time I exit, I get various screen tears when highlighting objects in Windows Explorer, on the desktop, etc.
I'll just get on with it and list my specs while I do the walk of shame:
AMD Sempron 2.4Ghz (Single Core)
Nvidia Geforce 6150SE nForce 430
4GB DDR2 Ram
Monitor limited to max resolution of 1377x768
I'm pretty sure it's just the nForce or my forced desktop resolution preventing me from playing the game, but I'm hoping there are some tech geniuses out there that might, by some miracle, guide me in the right direction of configuring settings properly in order to play the game somehow.
I haven't yet tried lowering resolution to 1024x768 or 800x600. This monitor (or GPU) is extremely picky about displaying things in certain resolutions, seeing as 1377x768 is a very odd number and is only compatible with like... 2 other very oddly numbered resolutions (other than 640x480, 800x600, or 1024x768, which it will sometimes choose to scale to full screen. Every other resolution I've tried with various games leaves me with large portions of the screen cut off. Drives me bonkers.)
Anyways, thanks for reading. Hope there is some... well... hope for this poor PC yet :D
