This isn't anything major, but just thought I'd mention that depending on your rig/GPU, you might want to limit framerate in this game, if your GPU temps are running high. The game doesn't appear to be very demanding so fps can get pretty high.

I had to put a frame rate limit of 120 on the game, because it was running at 250-300fps quite often (sometimes it'd drop to 180-220 depending on zoom/other things) even with graphic settings "maxed". :)

That's a good suggestion but how do you limit the framerate? The game has it as an option or you force it through Nvidia/ATI control panel?

I'm going to play this on a laptop so I'd rather avoid melting heat for unnecessary frames...

If you have an EVGA nivida, their Precision app may work as well. My version of Precision didn't work on Banished, but it's a pretty old version, so later versions might. Dunno.

Btw, enabling Vsync, a common suggestion you may hear, did not help. Reminds me of when Legends of Grimrock had a similar issue. :)

Scratch that. For some people, forcing vcync for the Banished .exe via the gpu control panel may work.

It still didn't work for me, tho. Hmm. Oh well, I don't like vsync anyway.
Hmm. I'd rather wait than risk it. Thanks for the info.
MSI AfterBurner

This application also has a frame limiter that works for both Nvidia and ATI. It also has an OSD so you can see things like GPU temperature, GPU usage, GPU memory, GPU fan speed and framerate in-game (there's an option to set a hotkey to make it disappear in case it bothers you).
Yep. My GPU crashed after half an hour or so, due to overheating.
