I've downloaded the game but cant find the manual......is there one?

There is no download-able manual, as far as I can tell.
The game has comprehensive in-game help and great tutorials that cover what a manual would. I suggest starting with the tutorials, it will also show you where the in-game help is. There is a wiki as well.
