So I have laptop with 2 GPU - integrated Intel HD graphic and dedicated NVIDIA GT540M on Win7 x64. Problem is that I can't run Banished (in first run menu or during game) on my dedicated graphic card. Only option in adapter selection is my Intel HD card. I try to install game as administrator, run in compatibility mode, run game using RMB->run with NVIDIA card (error: you don't have right to use this graphic processor in this menu). Even adding game manually in NVIDIA control panel to run game with GT540M doesn't help (game start as always on Intel HD). Have anyone find out some workaround for this problem? Its not a big problem in early stages of the game, but if I have more than 200 people to handle it starts to be unplayable (low FPS).

Most of my games only list the Intel HD card in their adapter menus, but this doesn't necessarily mean they aren't using the dedicated graphics card. One way to check is to turn on the 'Display GPU Activity Icon' option in the nVidia control panel and check the icon when Banished is running.

My copy of Banished does the same as yours - it only lists the integrated card in the adapter menu. However there is an extremely obvious difference in performance (on max graphics settings) when I switch the card being used from the nVidia control panel. Could you do the same and see if there is a similar change in performance?

Well I tried that, nVidia card activity didn't show any program running. I find solution anyway, but I don't have any idea what helped eventually:
1. I installed latest drivers for my card.
2. I get rid of nVidia Experience (I read somewhere that this could cause the problem).
3. I added whole GOG folder for dedicated card in nVidia control panel, not only game luncher.

After this modifications game still don't list my GPU in adapter selection, but after minimizing the game, in GPU activity icon I can (finally) see 1 program running - Banished. Performance change is enormous (loaded saved game from other computer with >300 people, no FPS reduction)!

Thanks for the tip with turning on the 'Display GPU Activity Icon'!
