I downloaded Baldur Gate 2 from GOG and want to conduct a little "artistic license" on my newly created character. However, to use the cheat commmand system I need to add the Debug Mode=1 line in my .ini file but I can't find the Baldur.ini file in the BGII directory. Any ideas? I am using Windows 7.

Thanks :)
There should be 3 files called 'baldur' in your Baldur's Gate game folder: 1 is the executive file, 1 is the icon, 1 has as file-type 'configuration settings' (?, i'm translating the last word from dutch), the last one is baldur.ini (you might want to turn off 'hide known file extionsions' in Organize>Folder options>View tab).

If it's not there, it might be because you've installed into Program Files (which should not be done for old games) and Windows 7 stored some files in a Virtual Store made accesible by 'Compatibility Files' in your taskbar (or so I'm told, I never install games in Program Files unless they refuse to go elsewhere).

I have the same issue. The game is in a folder called "GOG.com". In the" Baldur's Gate 2" folder is:
"Baldur's Gate 2 Complete" (This is the game, itself)
"Config"
"Uninstall "Baldur's Gate 2 Complete"
"Documents"
"Tools"

None of these seem to be helpful in any way. There seems to be no Program File or .ini file.

I am not sure what else to do. :(
Thanks, in advance.
Does your explorer bar have a compatibility files tab?
