I've read that it can be found in Sorcerous Sundries, but I'd prefer if I can find it before going to Baldur's Gate. I do have TotSC installed, so if it's available anywhere in Durlag's tower I would go look for it. If someone can think of a random drop it might come from, or if anyone can think of where I might find it otherwise, thanks in advance.

Can't recall for certain, but did you try High Hedge? If not there, then perhaps you can force a random drop . Gibberlings drop scrolls as loot, IIRC. Or maybe that's ghouls?

Failing that, there's always the console.

I checked High Hedge, as I assumed he would have it... No such luck. I just hate not having it as I'm running a solo bard. At the moment I'm just poking around some wilderness to see if I can get it to drop.

Knock is only sold at Sorcerous Sundries. The only other way to get it without cheating is in random drops -- oddly coincidental, I got one just today for my bard, from a Ghoul just south of Beregost.

Thanks for confirming, Hickory. I thought SS was the only place that sold it but couldn't recall for sure. So looks like the OP's best bet is to explore areas where Ghouls respawn (am I right in recalling the Gibberlings sometimes drop scrolls as well?)

Yes, Gibberlings, Kobolds, certain bandits and some others that are assigned random loot will occasionally drop scrolls.
