Months ago it was announced Baldur's Gate would be getting achievements, where are they?

Achievements would be a GoG Galaxy thing, which as far as I know hasn't happened yet. It's probable that it would only be restricted to the Enhanced Editions. You also need to keep in mind that GoG has 1,500+ games, so achievements for most of them would take some time.

Yes,your right and I think it is scheduled for 20?? and the only problem with that is the pc's will not be able to play it:-)

Yep, I bought it in the Spring for the sale and article at the time that said they were coming in the near future. I emailed gog about it a few months ago and they said they have no word on achievements. I spent little on the upgrade due to the sale but I am disappointed in the false advertising on a site that I thought looked out for fans. As far as I can tell, Baldur's Gate EE is Beamdog's chief asset, and I'm astounded that they would do so much wrong with this release and not commit to their promises.

You are really surprised about Beamdog? They have demonstrated several times that they have nothing but contempt for the players.
