I knew exactly what you were talking about, but I wanted you to respond because you should never assume that because *you* know you're talking about a particular game (there are 4 Baldur's Gates) that other people will too. In any forum with multiple games, always clearly state which game you are talking about.

As for the patch, it's clearly aimed at SoD but Beamdog won't even say if/when SoD is coming to GOG, so don't hold your breath.

It is supposed to bring general improvements. Like better UI, weapon switching including offhand, a new class, ...

That's odd, since they've been claiming the UI is near perfect from the very beginning. It is clearly aimed at the release of SoD.

Amusing. They clearly should have be claiming their UI is shit. Well that would be a major selling point. There is always room for improvement.

Be careful, if it's aimed at SoD, it will affect BG EE and BG2 EE as well so if you are not interested by the "improvements" and you use Galaxy, disable automatic update or you won't be able to go back!
The patch would come before SoD (few days before I guess)
- the new UI looks bad in my opinion and they already said that it won't change BUT it's easier to mod so we should see plenty of better UI made by fan
- you can disable the cartoon design of the characters

There are already some test of modifying UI

Since I found out about this expansion I've been wondering if Beamdog got their act together. It'll be the difference between "Siege of Dragonspear" and "Siege of my ass".

So when will 2.0 be here, since its already out on steam and Beamdog.

I just read at Beamdog Forums that they have already given the Patch to GOG. So get your work done guys! The Changelog is huge for both Games so i cant wait to test it.

I just put in an official inquiry using the support feature here. Will post here if/when they respond.

It's already up for BGI according to its change log (though the change log seems to have been backdated to 1st March which can't possibly be right).

Looks like the people on Steam got it. We got BG1 EE 2.0 but where is the GOG version of 2.0?

They put the Dragon Spear update thru.

They put the BG1 EE 2.0 Update thru.

Is something wrong with the BG2 EE 2.0 update?
