Hi, I am new to BG and RPGs in general. I've gotten to Arms Inn and am trying to purchase Cure Serious Wounds and Raise dead from the lady at the temple, but they are shown in red to me. If I purchase them, they don't show up in my spell/memorization book or inventory. I should mention I am trying to do this with my cleric character.

Odd thing is that this same cleric character has cure (light?) wounds spell and is able to use it, but if I go to the same lady who also sells this spell, it is also marked in red on her store. Why is this?

Those aren't scrolls you can purchase - they are services of the temple (you can get healed or raise your dead at the temple.

There are scrolls for those spells but they'll be in the shop section, not the services section of the temple.
Those scrolls can't be 'scribed' like the mage spells though - Clerics get their spells automatically when they reach the required level. Only then can you choose to memorise them like the mages do.
