I am using the info in the link above on the original games for a more seamless transition and have a question. If I want to use my characters from BG1 in BG2, will they be the same level when I start BG2 that they were when I completed BG1? Won't they be too high of a level and stomp every enemy? Thanks for any help

Baldur's Gate 1 has an XP cap, and Baldur's Gate 2 is balanced around characters starting with that much experience, so no, transferring the character won't make BG2 too easy.

In fact, if you transfer a low level character, her XP will actually be set to 89,000 during the transfer.
