I have purchased and installed both Baldur's Gate games from GOG, and have installed the easy tutu mod. My questions are what are the best classes for a beginner (No D&D experience at all), and after I finish the original, how will I import my easytutu save from it to Baldur's Gate 2?

Fighter is probably the easiest to get a handle on.

Just make sure all your party members have some kind of ranged weapon. Almost a must for BG1.

As for importing, I believe the option pops up when you start BG2. Been a while since I've done it, so I can't recall for certain.
Thanks for the help.

Sorry I didn't get into more detail earlier.

As noted, make sure all your party members have a ranged weapon option. Makes the battles much easier to handle. Remember you can have up to 6 party members, too, so you'll get a good mix of all the classes and you'll be able to try them all out. This is a good way to get a handle on the other classes.

If you need help with setting up characters, or need advice on builds or tactics, toss a thread up in this forum and you'll get a lot of great advice.

Enjoy the games!
I think your main character should be whichever class appeals to you most. Ultimately, you have to play all of the classes as a balanced, full party is going to have some version of all of them in it. For instance, if you make your PC a rogue then that will be your rogue but if you choose to play cleric then you will use a rogue companion because no matter what, you need a rogue.

I feel like people are a little too cavalier about Tutu. If you're new to the game playing without it will make much more sense overall and make for a more balanced and interesting experience. I highly recommend not using Tutu. I used it for my first play through and haven't used it since.

Regardless, you're in for a treat.
