Hi All -

Planning on taking my inquisitor through to the end - SOLO. I was doing a sorcerer and a fighter mage thief and it just felt cheesy, stealthing, backstabbing, haste, stoneskin and mirror images with traps, couldn't handle the cheese.

I switched to an inquisitor for a little less overpowered and a little more simple and strong.

I am wondering on the fights I need to do at TOB.

Here's the stats:

STR: 19 (1 book in BG)
DEX: 19 (1 book in BG)
CON: 19 (1 book in BG)
INT: 10 (1 book in BG)
WIS: 15 (2 books in BG)
CHA: 18 (1 book in BG)

I have CLUAConsoled only one item that I "earned" in BG1 into the game, and that is Cloak of Balduran.

My idea gear is going to be:

Carsomyr
Gauntets of Extraordinary Specialization
Best Armor I can get?
Ring of Gaxx
Amulet of Power for Drain Life Immunity/Amulet of the Cheetah for Imp Haste
Boots of Speed
Belt of 22 STR
Helm of Balduran
Cloak of Balduran
Not sure on what other ring I will need.

My AC will probably be around -14...

Additional Items
Vhailor's Helm (Simulacrum)
Shield of Balduran for Owning Noobs

My question is (1) what gear am i overlooking and (2) how can I beat mellisan/etc? What's the general strategy?

Thanks
For melee solo characters, the strategy for the end ToB bosses is basically this:

Carry a bunch of Rods of Resurrection and Greater Whirlwind them until they stop moving.

Rods of Resurrection are the best healing item in the game because they heal you to full health, and they can be recharged to 10 uses by any vendor. Sadly there's only 3 in the game: one in Mekrath's lair, one for sale at the Adventure Mart, and one for sale by the traveling vendor in the woods outside Saradush.
