Update 23 July 2016: Walkthrough completed!

I have undertaken to write an in-depth walkthrough for Beamdog's Siege of Dragonspear expansion for BG:EE. I would like to think it's EZ to find answers in my write-ups, but lemme know if you have difficulty and I'll try to help. This is a WiP, the posts being actively revised by me in light of my progression. Seven posts are complete and they're fairly polished.

The sort of things this walkthrough covers: main quest, side quests, companions, itemization, combat encounters, reactivity, quest and kill experience rewards, and general pro-tips (among other specifics that are spoilerish to mention). Plus there are some pics for companions, dialogue, encounters, items and maps (where appropriate).

This walkthrough should appeal to newbies because it eases into things and doesn't overload with TMI and stats (some TMI and stats are present, but they're typed in a smaller font and easily ignored).

Anonymous users may now post comments. Newbies, veterans and devs are encouraged to share insights: the blog is moderated to ensure trolls and bigots stand no chance.

Would you ever consider doing longplays of NeverWinter Nights, Torment or BG on youtube?

Hit tfo47, and thanks for the kind compliment on my write-ups (which, at the risk of putting bells on myself, I believe are some of the best out there :P). Sorry, I'm not interested in doing longplays/Let's Plays on youtube: being a writer and not a speaker, I prefer the written word.

You could do what I did back in 2007 (I don't do videos anymore due to lack of time) and instead of speaking, just add your commentary via subtitles.

I understand why you prefer written walkthroughs (I did too), but for some people, a more visual medium works better.

I prefer written guides because it's not very easy to do a text search on a long play video.

My walkthrough is rigorous so I think annotating vids would cause me to ommit details, and it may be difficult to search... maybe you can still Ctrl +F to search keywords on vid annotations but I also have a Looking for something? search bar for keywords blog-wide, so it's EZ for ppl to find what they're looking for.

There will be a Part IX, yes. Just like there was a Part I-VIII.

It will be ready, as always, when it's done. Sorry I can't be more specific than that.

As for your Q, I'm sure the Beamdog forums could help you. There is an actual community vibe there, unlike the BioWare and GoG forums.
