What I'm trying to do is dual class Imoen into a wild mage. If I go into shadowkeeper after I dual to mage and give her a kit, it does tweak her caster level when she casts, but her spell memorization per level is not that of a specialist (she's one spell short). I tried waiting to level to see if that's what it took to kick in, but that didn't work. Then I tried to zero out her mage class level, but keep her xp the same (forcing a level and spell progression adjustment), but that didn't work either. I could have sworn I've done this before. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks.

Well, the memorization tab of Shadowkeeper will let you adjust the number of spell slots you have per level, so you can adjust it manually. That's probably what you're meant to do in this circumstance, as you might have wanted to change her kit without changing her spells per day. Does it work properly on spell levels you gain access to after changing her class? (There's an XP box in Shadowkeeper, so you can adjust that to test.) If so, just add one slot to each spell level she has access to currently (just first level, if I understand you correctly) at the same time as you switch her. If not, you may have to add a spell slot every time she unlocks a new spell level. An irritation, but not too bad.

By the way, don't forget to give her the special spells which wild mages get. Click 'Add spell' in the Wizard tab.

I know there's another way than to tweak her spells/day every level. I've done it before with a fighter I kitted over to a wild mage. There was a trick to it, though I can't remember exactly what it was.

A wild mage does not get an extra spell per level. Only specialists that forfeit another school get that.

A wild mage does get an extra spell per level. To balance out the lack of an opposition school, they have wild surges.

Wild Mages are not Speciality Mages and do not get an extra spell per level. They were added for Throne and can draw from a high level ability pool that allows some extra spells:

10th-level spells.

Comet
Dragon's Breath
Energy Blades
Improved Alacrity
Summon Planetar (Good and Neutral Mages)
Summon Dark Planetar (Evil and Neutral Mages)

The Wild Mage also gets Wild Mage only Spells:

Chaos Shield, Nahal's Reckless Dweomer and Improved Chaos Shield.

I kid you not. The wild mage gets an extra spell per level. I just created a new level 1 character to test it just in case I was suddenly transported, without my realizing it, to a parallel universe where this isn't true. Sure enough, the vanilla wild mage has 2 first level spells/day.

You are wrong. The wild mage gets 3 unique spells -- Reckless Dweomer (which is the extra level 1 spell) , Chaos Shield (level 2) and Improved Chaos Shield (level 7). They get all of these unique Wild Mage spells at creation, but they do NOT get an extra spell per level.

I started a game, created a wild mage, and saw it with my own eyes. It gets an extra spell per level. I actually tested it and it's true. I can't put it any plainer than that. Yes, they get the three spells added to their book, but they also get the extra spell per level.

Ok, I'll take your word for it -- it's been a while since I played a Wild Mage, and I don't remember getting extra spells, but maybe I did.

I'm afraid that you're wrong here: create a new wild mage in character creation, and look at how many spell slots they have. I just tried it, and at level one they have 2 slots. By contrast, an unspecialised mage gets one.
