PS "kudos" to all the dumb idjits posting illiterate crap about the problem - why it's happening and how to go about solving it (for the record, it takes around 3 minutes). It directly leads to posts like the one I'm answering to. Sigh..
tl;dr I paid for a product, the install script should work out of the box. It is things like this that make Steam such an appealing platform.
Yes, I could go an install a depreciated and insecure library on my system to install this game. I won't do this for two reasons.
1. It is a security issue on my machine. I should not have to install insecure libraries to run an install script.
2. It is a product I paid for. It should work. If I bought it on Steam it would work, but I chose GOG.
Now time for a psych evaluation on osm:
osm, you've been trolling this thread since 2021. Why? Are you being paid by GOG/Blizzard to do damage control? Are you proud that you know how to use wget to install outdated libraries? I suggest you favorite this thread and seek therapy.
