Hey there,

I've just bought BGI and BGII and followed the great guide link oni the store page to install all the mods and it all works fine.

However, when I move the cursor to the screen edges to pan about the panning movement produces a flickering effect on the landscape, is this normal and something you get used to or something I can tweak out?

I'm running full screen 1920x1200 btw.

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

What happens if you lower the resolution?

My laptops native resolution of 1280x800 has flickering fog of when I play in software mode when moving around. When I lowered the resolution to 1024x768, the flickering was gone. Even 1280x720 had no flickering.
It seems a lot of tft screens have this problem.

(I play at 1024x640btw, as a 10" screen is a bit too small to play at a higher resolution imho :P)

Thanks Gromuhl, lowering it to 1680 x 1050 has improved it quite a bit. I tried 1440 x 900 but it didn't seem to want to run at that for some reason.

What I have now looks like screen tearing, will try to force vSync on my graphics card to improve it.

You can't use vSync if you have the default ddrawfix installed.
Well, I have vSync set as an override on my gfx control panel and I used the Throne of Bhaal config tool to play about too and I now have it running 1600x1200 windowed with no issues whatsoever so I'm just going to leave it as is and enjoy :)
