Have Samuel. Took him back to Friendly Arm Inn. Game crashes every time I try to enter temple to complete quest. Any thoughts?

Thanks!
Try going into the temple with just the one character... the one carrying Samuel.

I tried that as well and it still crashed.
Open your baldur.ini and under [Program Options] make sure that you have these set:

Logging On=1
Debug Mode=1

Now when the game crashes you will have something in your baldur.err and/or baldur.log. After the crash, post the contents of those here (open them in Notepad).

Okay, I did that, but it's not creating a baldur.err (or .log) file. Maybe it's not really crashing then? When I enter that temple (even with out the Samuel quest going) it kicks me back to windows with a minimized window for Baldur's Gate. I can't get back into the game and have to "end process" to get rid of it.

Thanks for time, I appreciate it.
Something (probably a creature file) is corrupt in your save game, in that area of the temple, and that's why you're being dumped back to the desktop. If you have any knowledge of Infinity Explorer you could check for things like zero byte creature files (zero byte are typical of corrupt files). If not, then you're going to have to fall back to a previous save.
Okay, thanks for the help. I don't have a previous save that far back, so I will just avoid that quest and hope I don't need to enter the temple later on in the game...

There really isn't any reason to enter the temple besides that quest, so you'll be fine on that count.
