I have the non EE GoG version of BG1. I installed it and booted it up. It displays a little funky on my widescreen monitor. Black bars on the side. No big deal. However, the "view space" is so small around the character, it's like there is a full screen in either direction before you hit the fog of war.

I installed the G3 widesreen mod. The GUI was messed up (but workable) and the frame rate dropped to next to nothing. Seriously, I would literally estimate that the frame rate was 2-4 instead of 30 like it should be. So, i uninstalled it. Actually, it glitched to the point I had to reinstall the game from scratch.

Next, I try EasyTutu. If I can get this working, at least I can play in 800x600, which is probably servicable for a quick run through the game. No dice. Now I have a black bar going down the middle of the screen and another one on the left side.

This is about where I'm at. At this point, I don't care about having widescreen. I'll be happy if it will run in a high enough resolution that the edges of the fog of war are on screen. Can anyone assist? Thanks,.

Post a screenshot of what you mean with the TuTu issue. Also, it may help to mention your OS.

Ok, a new install lets me install the widescreen mod with no problem, but I'm still having the same graphical problems.

TinyPic is a terrible, terrible ad-ridden site. I cannot see your images, by filter choice, so I cannot help you. For the future I suggest you choose a much better sharing site, like imgur.

Any help would be appreciated. I could of sworn I had this working perfectly a few years ago, but that might have been a different computer at the time.

You have a corrupt TuTu installation. You need to scrap it and start again. Do not install the widescreen mod, and make absolutely certain that you install TuTu with a clean, virgin copy of BG1, and that means no fixes or tweaks.

Will do, but then how do I add the unfinished business content? Or, do I have to live without it. Also, do you mean I have to forego widescreen entirely? Thanks.

Correct.
Once you have installed Tutu from the unmodded base games ( the BG2 fixpack or TobEx are acceptable before)
Then you install unfinished business and any other mods made for the BG2 engine.
The widescreen mod should be installed last.

Two things with the widescreen mod:
Don't choose too high a resolution or everything will be too small.
Once you save a game with the widescreen mod installed, don't change the resolution .
If you change the resolution, start a new game.

I meant don't install anything before the TuTu installation. That's why I said it must be 'virgin'.

Will the bg1 unfinished business mod work with easytutu (considering how much easytutu changes things) or is there a different mod out there specifically for this?

It's compatible with BG1, EasyTuTu and BGT.
