I've recently found that HD space on my laptop is getting tighter and tighter (something to do with all these promotions by GOG and Steam perhaps? Nah...).

Anyway I was running through Control Panel trying to find large files I don't need any more. I notcied that I have a file for BG, a file for BG2 and then a file for BG tutu, which is more or less the size of the other two combined. My question is, can I uninstall the BG and BG2 files, and still have BG tutu work properly?

I know they're not enormous files in any case, but any feedback or help here would be greatly appreciated.

Yes.
Thanks for the response there olnorton, much obliged.
Though you ought to keep BG2 around for when you finish the first. I dare say uninstalling that is tantamount to sacrilege and you may find your RPG gamer license revoked. LOL ;P

Would you believe I'd never played either game until recently? Its nice to finally have my hands on that licence!

Just in relation to your point though, my understanding is that BG Tutu has both campaigns in it - i.e. when I finish BG1, it will run straight through to BGII within the Tutu game, even though I've deleted BGII now. If that makes any sense...

No, your confusing Tutu with BGT. Tutu is only BG1 with BG2 engine.

Ah, I see now. I never looked at BGT to be honest. I guess I'll just play the one and then the other as separate files so. (The big draw for me was making BGI look nicer anyway, and it does look rather lovely in the BGII engine doesn't it?)

I much prefer Easy Tutu to BGT.
It's closer to the original game.
Modding is much simpler, doing each game seperately.
And you can use the "Faster cut scenes" mod that doesn't work with BGT. (A big plus if you have played the game many times.)
