Hello,
I've got a problem with custom portraits on Baldur Gate 2 Complete(not EE). Comp with Windows 7

Got my portraits named aaaS and aaaM.
Resolution are 54x84 and 169x266
Saved as 24 bmp

When I select them during character creation their images are cut - Im seeing like 80% of portrait. Like they become enlarged, but not form center but from upper left corner - so it result in "moved" picture.
Its not the problem with these specific pictures - Ive tried others with same effect.
Any idea why?
Thanks for help!

Double and triple check you've got the pixel dimensions right. Even being off by one pixel causes weird scaling issues like that.

Is the issue only happening in character creation? (i.e. they look normal once you get in game?) If so, try also adding a version of the portrait named "aaaL.bmp", at a resolution of 210x330. The "large" portrait file is used in character creation. If you don't have one, it tries to scale up the "Medium" file -- but if you do explicitly have one, it will use that without any scaling (assuming you have the size correct).

Checked 3 times again - resolutions are correct.

I created aaaL.bmp with 210x330 resolution but that didnt help.
In character creation we select medium and small portrait - both are enlarged in way described in my first post.

Those are the dimensions for EE games. For the original you need 38x60 (S) and 110x170 (M).
Yep, your dimensions are for the enhanced version. For the original they need to be:

L - 210 x 330
M - 110 x 170
S - 38 x 60

They also need to be named in the old DOS syntax of 8.3, so no long names.
