Greetings!

Why does everyone assume the PC is responsible for what happened in Saradush? Yaga-shura was the one who leveled it to the ground. I'd understand if this mentality were just limited to peasants, but I get this info from people who should know better.

When you are ambushed in the oasis by the officer and his men, the dialogue and the bounty notices make you sound like Osama Bin Laden. The chit-chat with my first meeting with Balthazar went like this:

Me: "I was expecting someone a little...friendlier"
Balthazar: "Considering what happened in Saradush, be thankful you find welcome anywhere."

Do you think this viewpoint developed before the events of ToB? Despite all my character's good deeds (and reaching the reputation cap pretty earlier in all three games), Yaga-shura refers to me as the "terror" of the Sword Coast.
Where's the surprise in that? Forgot 1, already? The assassins sent after you, you being framed? Right from the start, where and when you were almost a child (Gorion's)? Or the doppelganger asspull, that all of your known people, neighbors, childhood friends, were actually monsters in disguise and a nasty plot? You are everybody's regular, typical villain, deserving it, or not. Get used to it. And crack open some skulls just to feel a bit nicer. Loosing reputation once in a while isn't all that bad...

I see what you mean, but the PC was exonerated at the Ducal Palace in BG1. That's why one of the guys there (forgot his name) helps you out by teleporting you to the thieves' den.
