I cannot seem to be able to install the patches that come with the game.
I also seem to be missing a bunch of the things that come with EE.
Varifiying the game files has not worked for me either.

If you downloaded the first installer, it is already the latest version. Patches are for people who had downloaded the previous versions. So you do not need the patches.

What exactly are you missing?

Quite a few things. Even the interfaces seems to be different. I also don't have the option to take Dorn, Neera, or the other two at the begining of the game and i am also missing any form of tutorial.

Yes, that's the final version at the moment. 2.5 is coming according to some rumors.

There is no tutorial in BG2:EE and you can not take Dorn or Neera in the beginning of the game. I just tested and it is that way.

Maybe you were playing a modded version before?

Actually i have not played this game since the early 2000s lol
I just chanced upon a review of it and decided to buy again. Again the reviewers copy happened to look entirely different.

That may be a previous version of EE. Something before version 2.xxx. Many things, including the interface used to be different back then.
