I submitted two support tickets and still no response.

Tells me the set up files are corrupted, but not just on MY computer but my aunts computer as well. On my computer, I'm not able to download the GOG Downloader. I download it and whenever I try to launch it, it tells me it needs to shut down because of an error.

I've tried a bunch of things people have said to do when this SET UP FILES ARE CORRUPTED issue occurs.

What else can I do? I got this game as a gift.
Is there any way they can either resend it OR resend a different game of the same value?

Just DL it again. Even if you got it as a gift, it will be tied to your account, so you can just DL it again.

What operating system are you using?

Windows XP.
I have all the right specs for the game.

And support hasnt replied.

Have you checked your HDD and RAM for errors?

You've put very few details in your post :

- is the game BG1 or BG2 ?
- if BG2 have you downloaded all three files before trying to install ?
- since you can't use GOG downloader are you using the browser ? Or a download manager ?
- if you're getting error messages you should list the details.

It's for BG2 and yes I've tried downloading all three files. The first one which is the set up exe file tells me the set up files are corrupted. THe other two download but as .BIN files.

I don't know of any download managers nor am I too sure on how to use them. If you can recommend of some really good ones.

If you get a corrupted download then sometimes, if you try again, the computer recognizes the file and still only downloads to the same point (e.g. an incomplete download).
Before re-downloading you need to clear your cache and it's a good idea to change the file name so the PC thinks it's a new file and tries from scratch (write down the original file-name so you can change it back later).

If you've tried this already then I'm out of ideas.

You have all three files in the same folder before running the .exe ?

Might be worth checking the sizes of your downloaded files to the original file sizes on GOG. I use DownThemAll! on Firefox.
