SPOILER :

We arrive at the village devastated by goblins where a gnome of the mill is freed... after having massacred everyone, our tieffelin warrior (supposedly intelligent) had the wonderful idea to go down into the well after a dice of perception. We met "phase spiders" and after three hours of battle, which is finally only two battle resets, we defeated the "matriarch of the phase spiders" ... I would like to congratulate the fight You have achieved what was missing in DDOS: playing the field and making everything possible. I like you ^^ because we were level 3, and by dint of hiding and archery, we got her.... For no loot and no exp.

Is it a bug, or is the D&D system too much respected ? (If we fight a too much higher ennemy we gain 0 xp ? This system on D&D is ok for playing on table but in game isn't a good Idea.)

FR VERSION :

Pour no loot et no exp. Est-ce un bug, ou alors le système D&D est bien trop respecté ?

Of course not, every creature has its set amount of xp. Unless that creature was modified to fit your level you will get those set xp (if scaled down likely a little less). So the no xp after a fight is for sure a bug.

The no loot part, well, how much loot does a spider carry around? You might find someone to reward you for killing the spider should it have posed a threat (I don't know if there is someone who gives you a reward for it in game, I can only tell you how it would be handled by a DM).
the spiders should give about 10xp each and you get that when you kill each of them, not at end of battle... loot is mostly random
Thank you for your response.

I am reassured that the system concerning the exp gap is not respected, what a horror that would have been! ^^
However, to have only 10 experiences on each animal (which can go up to 14/16 with the eggs so 160XP totally with 4 characters in battle), whereas the goblins give us 50 each in the village ( 50xp x 9 ), is perhaps a problem of balancing experience ?

Concerning the loot, I received only one magician's robe (against poison) on all the creatures after checking. I
Probably a bug or it's the really gain of exp and loot ? I continue my game even if some NPCs have disappeared in the savegame, such as Shadowheart.

hint: if you kill things quick they drop more loot
