Okay so I'm trying to get some custom portraits on B.G.E.E. First off I'm follow this guy video (Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition: Installing Custom Portraits and Sounds Tutorial. From Magpie Randoms)
But ill give you a quick step to step of what i did.

Step 1: I own it on GoG so i found the Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition folder on my laptop and added a "Portraits" folder in the main folder of B.G.E.E.

Step 2: i found a few pic i like and down to sized the one i liked by 54x84 small, 169x266 mid, 210x300 for large and made them all 24 bit bmp and named them 01S, 01M, 01L.

And so far I've only done this with one pic but i can't find the portraits in my game portrait and when i hit custom it just tell me what i need to do. I've also changed the portraits folder name too "portraits","Portraits" and i think i even got rend of the S in the end. If anyone can help me out with this it would be awesome.

yup i was in the wrong folder that link also helped me understand it a lot better. off question my small portraits it showing in the custom and when i select that portrait its distorted. is this normal and if not can you send me a link to fix this?.

Do you want your portraits to be the same (I mean, M and S versions)? Or do you want the portraits to be different (for example, so that the M version would show the character from a far, while the S version would show only the face of the character)?

If you want the portraits to be the same, then simply delete the S version and on the Record screen in-game choose the M version ( the game will automatically use it for the sidebar version as well).

If you want different portraits, then make sure their dimensions are of the needed proportion (you might need to crop pictures differently). Width:Height as 0.64 to 1 (the same proportion as 169:266).
