It used to work just fine, but now every time we try to enter an inn or temple whoever is not hosting the game crashes getting the error "An Assertion failed in D:\Dev\Ba;dur\Cvisibility.cpp at line number 1484". We had the widescreen mod enabled at one point but we both uninstalled it. This happens no matter who is hosting the game.

That fault is from using a saved game from before you uninstalled the widescreen mod.
Reinstalling the widescreen mod may fix it, I don't know.
Starting a new game will.
The widescreen mod used to have to be reinstalled whenever you switched from Window to Full screen mode. I'm not sure if that was ever addressed.
