I had to reinstall Baldur'sGate 2EE after I messed up the save games trying to speed up,the loading time by deleting old saved games. Luckily I had save the game just that morning.
How do I load the saved games into the new download?
I really do not want to start all over again - I was in the Spellhold, level 2.

Saved games are located in your Documents folder, under "Baldur's Gate II - Enhanced Edition\save\"

If you made a backup of your saved games, just copy those folders back into the "save" folder.

Further question: I looked into my BG2EE directory and saw the Save folder. It still had the saves in it that I messed up. i must have not clicked " remove all save games" button when I deleted. so, should I delete those saves and then copy form my backup thumb drive? I just want to be sure of the correct course.Thanks

If you're sure that you don't want those saved games, then it's safe to manually delete the folders.
