Hi guys,

I want to get back to an old save of mine of BG1 to complete it and get on with BG2. But I'm on Ubuntu, and I have NO CLUE on how to intall the few patches I want (including WideScreen mod).

Did anyone successfully installed mods and played BG 1/2 with the GOG Linux Version (and not the Windows & Wine one ;)

I played the EE from GOG mostly because of it's native Linux version (instead of having to go through Wine), but since I had the GOG version of BG/BG2 too (as part of the DND bundle) I did try them, and I could apply the widescreen patch on them.

The key is to use the Linux version of WeiDU which is available on http://www.weidu.org/

Maybe it would be good to have an HOWTO somewhere, like in stick on the forum ? Not sure.

Excellent ! It's working. But I have serious performance issues with BG2. The loading screen is painfully slow, and each time I pick or equip something the age "pauses"... Did you have those issues ?
