Downloaded and installed BG just fine. When I press Play on the Launcher, nothing happens; the button stays depressed. After alt-tab-del, it says the launcher is not responding. I tried reinstalling, used admin settings, and different compatibilities but nothing worked. Has this happened to anyone else?

I've got the same problem... put in a trouble ticket to GOG support w/ a DxDiag output. Has anyone else experienced this?

Thought - since it's been tested under Win 7 64 bit, I'm betting it's an i7 issue since I too run w/ an i7.Fixed:

Redirect the alias that the GoG installer creates to BGMain.exe instead of Baldur.exe

Of course - this doesn't fix the fact that the launcher is hanging - it just bypasses the launcher to enable us to play the game without it.
