I give Jaheira a scimitar and it crashes the game, as in it locks it right up and I have to use Task Manager to close the game. I am running Win 7 64 bit in XP sp3 mode.

Baldur's Gate ran just fine throughout the whole game. Now Bg2 is giving me fits....a little help please.

Maybe try reinstalling baldurs gate 2 outside of the program files directory. This could just be an install problem. I've never had it happen before.

Alternatively you could just shadowkeeper a scimitar onto her, that would at least equip her with the scimitar and it (might) mean that can keep playing.

Do you mean any scimitar or is this sword part of some mod?
