I'm having some trouble getting a session hosted for my friends to join. We're located across the country so we were hoping to use the TCP/IP option but we can't find a good guide to get it working.

Use GameRanger. A third party tool that assists in setting up multiplayer games.

Also, make sure the hoster is in windowed mode. Otherwise the game will crash.

We saw that and gave it a try but we cant get passed the djini. The game keeps crashing when were in the inventory. Do you know if this is a common problem or only caused by some mods.

We had all installed the "Unfinished Business" Mod, so we suspect that may cause the problem. We haven't yet been able to uninstall it and try again.

I've never experienced that myself, but it may be a problem with the installation order or the mods if the crash happens all the time.

Update: I'm pretty sure we found the problem. Two of us were using unlocked resolutions (I was using 1280x960) and both experienced the crashing. We've since dialed down the resolution (i'm using 1024x768) and are not experiencing crashes in single player anymore. We haven't had a chance to check in multiplayer but we're pretty sure the resolution was the issue.
