Which ports do i need to forward to enforce lan connection with my friends (They all own the game, one of them on steam and the other on gog) My issue is that as much as i love Beamdog they seem to have broken lan connection or something, because i'm far from useless or unknown to port forwarding or inbound rules of firewall and what not, my friends could not connect last time i tried (Used to work before on same machine).. And because my friends live in different parts of this world, we need the lan enforcement + my upload speed, thanks in advance...

Edit: this connection issue is ever since the 6.0 something update, so something fucked up or ports changed?

Pretty BEamdog and gog broke multiplayer lan on purpose, all ports are forwarded, and the Baldur's gate.ini file is not even there. theres some shady stuff
I think the Enhanced Editions have used Baldur.lua, not Baldur.ini, for a long time.

Regardless, this is a standard port forwarding problem. Start by confirming that your router receives traffic from your friend at all, and on which port. You can't assume that your friend's traffic is even crossing the Internet to you successfully. Verify that port is forwarded to your system. Check that your system's firewall allows that port. Check that Baldur.exe is listening on that port.

Or, work backwards. Host a multiplayer game. Check on which port the host is listening. Check that against your other configuration.

Once you know that the traffic is successfully routed, then you can worry about whether the games speak a compatible protocol. It's not uncommon for games to change their protocol in a patch, so if you have v2.6.5.0 and your friend has v2.6.6.0, it might be impossible to join a game together, even if you were in the same room on the same LAN.

I actually found the fix it was so silly, i hope to spread this to all people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! here is the fix my friends: I am on windows 11 and my friend windows 10, What worked for us: We both disabled ipv6 from our ethernet adapters, we apparently were using microsoft vpn by default which we unticked the two VPN options of microsoft vpn, Ofc all ports are forwarded to the static ip ive set up. I created the multiplayer game in windowed mode and everything is perfect cheers!
