When I'm starting the game it forces me to the character sheet automatically no matter what i do. If i try to stay on another screen it forces me back to the character sheet. Also worth noting is that when I try to name my character the name automatically fills in as gibberish I can't delete and when i start the game I don't get the opening tab with the the music and the demos. What exactly is going on?

Obviously much too late for you, but for anyone else, it sounds as though one or more of your keys thinks you're pressing it. Try pressing and releasing each key in turn, especially those which appear in the 'gibberish', and see if that solves it. If not, then a computer restart could do the trick. If it doesn't, and the 'gibberish' is also happening in things other than the game, that indicates your keyboard may well have developed a fault.
