If you got Aerie and Viconia/Jaheira in the same party and you were romancing both of them you got toexperience some spectacular cat fights...lol. The little kitten (Aerie) got some claws...

I like Anomen's story line best though, even though he's a bit annoying at times.

No. No, she doesn't. Unless, by 'protective instinct,' you mean my tendency to leave her with uncle Gnome in the circus. There! All safe and protected.

Seriously though, the lack of Aerie mention doesn't surprise me. She tends to annoy quite a lot of people with her "woe is me" attitudes and general uncertainty. As Jonesy points out, it does make for a change from the run-of-the-mill heroic adventurer type, and her conflict with Korgan is a lot of fun. (Though not for her.) But I can't bring myself to like her and I dislike the romance, from what I've seen of it. (I've never gotten that far, but the baby thing I've read features in ToB sounds particularly stupid.)

Anomen indeed is a better example of a character who is annoying personality-wise, (what an arrogant clod) but develops in interesting ways and has a good plot-line that explains a lot about why he acts the way he does. I don't like him as a person, but I do like to bring him in my party. (Plus, it helps that he's one of the stronger NPCs in the game.)

I always find Mazzy in my good groups... p.s. the wingless one grows up fast in an evil party if you don't let your rep drop below 7.

I wouldn't romance her, but I would have adopted her, if that was possible.

Does anybody know where I can get Aerie's rant when you romance her and then spend too much time with Phaere? I hear she goes ballistic, but I have not had the patience to try it myself.

Phaere will demand that you sleep with her after you have completed the quest she gives you to kill Solaufein. If you accept, any love interest will tackle your character about it right after the deed. There are no ballistics.

Edit: note that the player character must be male.

Lilicor is one of the few Bioware companions who's genuinely witty.

Minsc and Boo are the most memorable to me "go for the eyes, Boo" stays in my ears for ever !

But I also liked Imoen and Aerie, they're so different but both so sweet in their way.

"If I wanted to know about your last wielder, I'd have axed!"

He sure would make for an effective autopause replacement. Additionally, he would provide you with a steadily increasing* amount of experience points at regular intervals as well as all the stuff people throw at him. And just imagine the romance...
*(The amount resets if at any point you remove him from the party and welcome him back later.)
