So I am on day 64 and for some reason Dynaheir will just die and disappear from the party, only her items remain, she seems gone for good. It just says "Dynaheir-Death", does anybody know why this is happening

If Edwin is in your party then keep in mind he hates Dynaheir...

No edwin, killed him way earlier.

I have her, and minsc, jaheria, kivan and imoen.

I can't figure it out, out of nowhere she just is dead, i have read that people have kept her through the entire campaign, so what gives, there is nothing explaining why she died/

Check her status? She may have some weird curse or state draining effect. You could also try removing her from the party and then having her join again, it might fix it (worked for me when Minsc became hostile after I dire charmed him while he was charmed by an enemy).

If all else fails, you can just let her die then spawn her with a cheat code.

so she died right before i picked up another hero, if i was to swap her out where would i get her again? the gnoll stronghold? As far as I can see she has no curses or diseases or anything that would cause her to die

Did an ochre jelly poison her recently in your play through? I remember a long time ago that kept on killing a party member of mine, shortly after he destroyed the threat.

Do you use a character editor like Gatekeeper or Sword Coast Keeper? If so, can you read what her state effects are? You might find the answer there.

If anything, once she dies, as long as her icon is still with the rest of your party's (in the color grey to denote death), use a scroll of Raise Dead on her or take her to a temple and get the cleric there to raise her.

You know i did fight some jelly type of enemy, but i reloaded a previous save and never encountered that again and she still died, but she isn't faded, her character exploded and she is not in my party, there are now only five.

I am not sure what gatekeeper or sword coast keeper, kind of a noob to all this

Edit your BG1 .ini file (just open it with notepad, and enter Cheats=1 under the Game Options section)

Then in game press shift + tab and enter CLUAConsole:CreateCreature(''Dynahe'')

Then download Gatekeeper from here. http://www.mud-master.com/shadowkeeper/

Write down Dannys stats from before she dies, then edit the newly created one to have the same stats.

I can spawn a new Dynaheir, and I can see how I would use gatekeeper, the problem is when i go to save after spawning her, the game stops responding, never successfully saving.

Do you have any previous saves before this happend? I ask, b/c it looks to me like you saved in a rough patch right at a moment when either (A) someone was either speaking or (B) a spell effect was finishing. This happend to me a couple months ago, and I had to re-do the last few hours of that play-through, b/c of (B). It looks like a corrupt save. I could be wrong though. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable of the game can help.

Unfortunately i thought all was lost so i have no previous saves that have Dynaheir, just my saved game, quick save and autosave, none have her.

I can spawn her like i was previously instructed, and I can save the game while she is on the map, the minute i swap out coran from my party and take her back then try to save that is when it freezes and I crtl+alt+del to end the game.

Oh well, I think that I am going to do the big world thing and some mods anyway so i will have to get rid of saved game anyway.

Well unless you've a weird emotional attachment to Dynahier (who pretends she's always right; looks like Minsc's inability to think straight has inflated her ego), I don't see any reason why you shouldn't continue your game. There are other mages in the game (most notably dualing Imoen to it, provided you've another rogue in your party to detect traps, pick locks etc). And if your PC is of a good alignment, I think Minsc would be happier under his/her leadership anyways. :OD

Pressing shift + tab does nothing that I can see. Is it supposed to create a curser/command line or?

Okay, I finally got the command line to come up, but I needed to press control +tab rather than shift + tab.

However, when I enter CLUAConsole:CreateCreature(''Dynahe'') I get a syntax error.


EDIT: Apparently you have to make sure that if you copy and paste the quotations are actually double quotes and not two single quotes. I spawned her, finally.
