I've been trying to play BG 1 for the last four hours. I started by installing the widescreen and gui mods, then uninstalling everything and starting with a fresh install of BG 1 and 2 but I always run in to the same problem. About 10 seconds into gameplay the cursor will flicker back and forth between the movement icon and the attack (? it's a sword) icon and the little quick attack icon on the bottom toolbar flickers in sync with the cursor. I can go to the options screen and then back into the game and it'll be good for 10 seconds and then it'll start flickering. I've searched these forums for a similar problem but can't find anything that fixes my problem. I tried playing BG 2 to see if maybe it's just BG 1 and it has the same exact issue.

I'm on windows 7 64 using an ati radeon card (so it's not an nvidia issue).

i'm not 100% sure if this is the same problem i had years ago but if you have logitech mouse/keyboard try uninstalling setpoint, i never figured out what exactly caused it but it pretty much screwed up the in game mouse.

edit:

also some people seem to have issues with flickering when using widescreen mod, enabling 3d accleration might fix it.

I do have a logitech mouse, I'll give this a try this weekend when I use that computer. I did get the game to work no problem on my laptop.
