olnorton: Did you put Debug Mode=1 under program options in your baldur.ini ?
mifrigon: yep all done, tried and retried, it doesnt work, and its a game I downloaded from this very site too... it just pauses the game, nothing else happens. not that I really need the cheats it would still be cool if I could have a few more items...anymore insights would be appreciated. thx Buddy.
If you have the game installed in Program Files (x86)......you will have a "Compatibility files" tab in explorer when you view your Baldur's Gate 2 directory.
Clicking on that will show you the copy of baldur.ini in your virtual store.
That is the one the game uses & that is the one you will need to edit.
If you don't have permission to edit it, run notepad as administrator, or move the file to your desktop, edit it there & then move it back.
