Hey,

So I've been playing BG downloaded from GOG and it's been great. However, on occasion when I try and click on an NPC, (after the little face thing pops up), the dialogue won't open. Is this a known problem, and if so are there any solutions available?

Thanks,
-DrZ

Note, that not every NPC has full dialog, some (like commoners) just have one-liners so there's no dialogue window.
If you cannot initiate dialogue at all and have clean install (no mods), usually save & reload should fix the issue.

Yeah, this isn't random NPCs, but rather people I know have quests (i.e. (SPOILER ALERT!!) the captain of the guards in Candlekeep at the beginning of the game). I'll try the save and reload method next time it crops up.

Yeah, this happens regularly for me and my friend when we're playing. Just reload your last save (even if it was after trying to talk to an NPC that refused to talk to you) like Thiev suggested.
