Can not get BG II fixpack to work. It downloads and I try to run and it says it is not a win32 application. I am using windows 7 64 bit.

Just in case I can't fix this is the BG II fixpack really nescessary for Converting BG 1 into II engine?

Did you try downloading from here? Works fine for me.

Make sure you download from the G3 site and not one of the mirrors.

Say what??? BG2 fixpack from G3 is not used to convert BG1 to BG2. If you're using tutu, you don't need the fixpack, as tutu fixes many errors on it's own.

That aside, make sure you're downloading and running the .exe from a file path that's outside of any program files or temporary internet files directory. And BG should be installed in outside of program files, too.
