So uh in my BG2 game, its fullscreen but my game is in the middle of the screen, with black surrounding it? any idea how to fix this? Im not very tech savvy.

Most likely that's because you run the game with lower resolution than your monitor is set to, and you have some image scaling setting set to centered somewhere.

Have a look at your graphics card settings, find image scaling and set it to scale image to full panel size or something like that.

I have a ATI card, and it's in catalyst control center --> my digital flat panels --> properties
I have and NVIDIA card not an ATI, and it says the the display driver did not allow changes. Is there another way? The weirdest thing is that it only started doing this a while ago, around the time when I decided to use software transparency and mirrorring because there was black around all my items.
Display driver did not allow changes..? When does it say that, after you set the full screen scaling on and press OK to close the NVIDIA settings panel?

Never heard of anything like that, maybe you need to update/reinstall your NVIDIA drivers.
Well where do you find your graphics card setting in the first place?
Please help?
