If the several tomes are used on different party members (that i created from scratch in BG1), can i "epxort" these characters onto BGEE 2 and if so, do the benefits of tome stat increases carry over`? Or i apply only to my main chap all of the tomes`?

thx.
The only character you can export is the one you make. The tomes don't carry over to other play-throughs if you use them on NPCs.

Yes on both counts, provided you play in multiplayer mode, not story mode (which you must have done to create your own party members). You just need to export each character and then import into your BG2 game.

I'm pretty sure that you mean "single player mode", not "story mode" (which is a new difficulty setting that was added to the EEs).

Also, it's possible to create multiple characters separately in single player and then import them all into multiplayer.

I can see where the confusion lies, but by 'story mode' I actually meant story-driven (campaign) mode as opposed to multi-player 'do as you like' mode.

Not without file manipulation.

I'm not talking about creating multiple characters in one single player game; I am referring to the fact that you can start multiple single player games, create a different character in each one, export each one of them, and import them all into multiplayer.

My understanding is that, in multiplayer, you still play through the same story that you play through in single player; it's just that you have other players controlling characters other than the main character.

(Technically, the number of other players can be zero, of course.)

Irrelevant to what I meant.

Fair enough, but that is not how, "it's possible to create multiple characters separately in single player" reads.

In BG:EE and BG2:EE you can make a complete 6 man party from scratch on single player by selecting "Create Party" at the beginning of starting a new game. This is assuming you're playing on PC or Mac, since that update isn't ready for IOS or Android.

Pat, did you mean BG:EE when you said BG1? If so, you can spread the points around, but when you import the party to BG2:EE you'll need to go to the Create Party option again and import each character from your saved BG:EE game. If you DID mean BG1, as in the original game, then it's more complicated, but might be possible
