Hey everyone, I've installed the GOG version without any issues but since there are no CD's to begin with, I'm wondering why I'm getting the screen telling me that CD 2 needs to be in the drive, thus preventing me for playing.

Did you install anything (patch, mod) that modified .exe file?
No patches or mods nor did I change the placement of the game folder after the install. The only thing I did was make some adjustments to the baldur.ini file from the Power Users document. The adjustments were by the book program and game options and had nothing to do with cd's.

I did see this on the .ini file:
[Alias]
HD0:=C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Baldurs Gate II\
CD1:=C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Baldurs Gate II\data\
CD3:=C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Baldurs Gate II\data\
CD4:=C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Baldurs Gate II\data\
CD6:=C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Baldurs Gate II\data\

CD 2 and 5 are missing(?)

In my .ini I have them all.
Just add lines for that discs manually. They are the same as lines for CD1-6

Edit: Still, it's strange they're missing in the first place. Did you run the installer with administrative privileges?

Yep, adding CD2 and CD5 to the .ini file got it work. I agree, it was odd that they weren't there at all.
