Has anyone here managed to get scs30 working with bg2ee (current build)... the DragonSpear run has to continue?

It worked fine for me as-is, on BG2:EE version 1.x.

To use it on version 2.x of the game it apparently needs the following hotfix, though I haven't tried that yet myself: https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/comment/806853

There's also a "Revised SCS" in the works, which is not only EE 2.x compatible but designed to properly take into account the spells of the popular Spell Revisions mod:

the hot fix does not work on the gog.com version of the game with Sod installed... tested and documented but thats a different can of worms
Oh, I thought we were talking about BG2:EE?

For modding the GOG version of BG1:EE + SoD, all I know is that you need to run "modmerge" before installing mods: https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/50441/modmerge-merge-your-steam-gog-zip-based-dlc-into-something-weidu-nearinfinity-dltcep-can-use/p1

Personally, I played SoD without any mods though.
Enemies in the SoD expansion use a new AI which is smarter than that used by enemies in the base game - not as smart as SCS, but still, it makes SCS less of a necessity.
