So I have encountered a very strange, yet consistent, bug. I just got to the part where I start working with the Shadowmaster, and now whenever I need to open my map in the docks district (which is often) my game crashes. Specifically, I'm getting a runtime error, no crashlog. If it helps, I was running unmodded, but recently applied the BG2 Fixpack. Truthfully I was having this error before applying the fixpack and tried using that to...well...fix this.

Any insight would be appreciated. Technically the game is still perfectly playable; heck I can even use the map in other zones, or houses IN the docks district itself! But not being able to use the map here is frustrating.

It sounds like your save game is corrupt. The fact that it only crashes on one particular map suggests corrupted map data. It may be possible to rescue the situation by *carefully* scrutinising/editing the docks area in worldmap.wmp in Near Infinity. But unless you know what you are doing, best to let somebody who does -- back up your saves first!
