I have a version called BG2 Complete in my games.. How is it different than the one in the storefront called BG2 Enhanced Edition? Thanks!
I would assume it means that you bought BG2 before the release of BG2EE in 2013.

Oh btw I say "I would assume" because when you buy the EEs you can also get the classic versions, which I did, but they are specified with a german name.

So I have an ugly entry in german in my game list. Just because I'm german.

Also I wouldnt have bought the EEs if you couldnt get the Bioware originals. The EEs suck except they are much easier to install.

BG2 Complete is the original, non-enhanced version of BG2 and the "Throne of Bhaal" expansion. If you read the description of BG2:EE, any feature that says its "new", "enhanced", "improved", "added", etc. is NOT in the Complete edition (though some things can be modded into the original). The Complete edition can also potentially be a little tricker to get working on some hardware.

Ryan333 is correct and Gog gives you code for this when you buy BG2EE off them i.e, "BG2 Complete is the original," is what gog calls it
I don't have enhanced, so I must have picked up "complete" at some point another way. Is enhanced worth buying? It seems most people prefer the originals?

you could have got it before BgEE came to Gog yes

is EE worth playing = yes
its the same game with a few extra characters and their side quests... the main value of EE is that it runs on new machines instead of XP and the mods assume EE

if you have an old Windows 98 system that somehow still runs + you are happy with the characters in original BG then skip getting the EE builds... otherwise grab it from Here, Beamdog or Steam when it goes on sale [which is at least 2X a year]
