I couldnt find in the forums so sorry if it was asked before
Question is simple. How do you calculate Bow damage in BG1:EE? I know that Strength bonus is added to slings but what is the case for bows? I am asking this because Minsc is doing some serious damage with his bow.
Here is the summery of the situation:
Minsc,
Strenght 18/93,
Dexterity 18 (because of gaunlets of Dexterity)
Bow: Composite Longbow. (+2 Dmg, +1 Hit)
Normal arrows. (D6 = 1-6 dmg)
On the right side it shows D6+2 = 3-8 Dmg.
So doesnt that mean it gives maximum 8 damage to the enemy? But Minsc did 12 Missle damage to the gnolls in the Gnoll Stronghold with a roll of 14. Where did that extra 4 damage come from?
I hope i was able to explain my question
Tnx.

EDIT: Added roll information.
