I guess I was mistaken then. I never bothered killing him (I dislike the overabundance of cameos in the saga) but I was sure this was imported.

I never bothered with the whole 'evil' thing in BG because reputation was so poorly done. (The game greatly rewards you for being good with barely any rewards for being evil and there weren't many options to be truely evil aside from killing some unimportant people. (SW:KOTOR for example has much more interesting and meaningful choices for people willing to walk the path of evil)
